1 WHEREAS, Geordies LLC d/b/a Geordies A54, located at 454 Snelling Avenue in Saint Paul, has requested
2 issuance of a liquor outdoor service area (patio) license; and

WHEREAS, the Macalester Groveland Community Council, has agreed to Yhe issuance of the ]icense; and
WHEREAS, forLy-three (43) residential properties are within a 300 foot radius of licensee's proposed patio,
and licensee has obtained consent from twenty-eight (28) of those properties (65%); and
WHEREAS, licensee went door to door on eleven (1 l) occasions to obtain signatures from the remalning
residences but was unable to contact them and received no negative responses to the request for consent; and
WHEREAS, tl�e Cauncil finds that these effarts constitute a good faith effort to fulfill all perition
requirements, and that the results of the attempts to obtain signatures showed a generally favorable disposition from
the surrounding community toward the proposed licensed activity; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that iss�ance of the license witb conditions wil] not interfere with the
reasonable use and enjoyment of neighboring property and residences and will not bear adversely on the health,
safety, morals and general welfare of the community; and
WHEREAS, the Council finds that the application is in order and there are no grounds for denial of the
license and that the failure to the ]icense would cause exceptional and unusual hardship to the license applicant; and
WHEREAS, the notice was provided to neighboring properties within 300 feet and the district council and
no objections have been received in forry-five (45) days; now, therefore, be it,
RESOLVED, that a liquor outdoor service area (patio) license is issued to Geordies LLC d/b/a Geordies 454,
located at 454 Snelling Avenue in Saint Paul, subject to the agreement stated above and the following lice�se
condition:
Licensee shall stop all service of food and beverages to the patio area by 9:00 p.m., and the patio shall be
vacated of customers, patro�s, and employees by ] 0:00 p.m. each night of the week.
