SEAS, the Council did by Resolution No. 176595, approved January 31,
1956, authorize the issuance and sale of $2,200,000 School Improvement Bonds, Series
Number 4, and as the proper city officers have fully caused the said. bonds to be
advertised for sale and said advertisement required bids to be submitted on March 7s
1956, and as the bids were submitted and o ened, ezamined and tabulated by the Council,
and the Joint bid of
EQUITABLE SECURITIES CORPORATION
AND ASSOCIATES
was found to be the most advantageous, therefore be it
RESOLVED, that the bid of Equitable Securities Corporation and Associates
be accepted and said boats awarded at a price, namely, par and accrued interest with a
coupon rate of 2.48 per cent and a premium of $21,758.00.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council hereby ratifies and approves each
and every act of the Sinking Fund Committee in connection with the sale of said bonds.
