1 WHEREAS, the City� aint ul, Department o£Parks and Recreation, Natural Resource Unit,
2 Horticulture Academy, will be designing and installing a new landscape garden in Kellogg Mall Park in the
3 summer of 2010; and

5 WHEREAS, Parks and Recreation wishes to accept a Youth Garden Grant donation from the
6 National Gardening Association and the Home Depot; and
8 WHEREAS, 2010 donations wi11 include a$500 gift card from the Home Depot and $69.85 worth
9 of National Gardening Association's garden curriculum books; and

11 THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Parks and Recreation is authorized to accept a grant
12 donation for the Horticulture Academy, to install a new landscape garden in Kellogg Mall Park in the
13 summer of 2010.
