RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of Saint Paul, that the
proposed extension of the waterworks of said City for the purpose of
furnishing a full supply of water to its inhabitants, as provided by that
certain resolution of its Board of Water Commissioners, adopted February 9, 1956,
a certified copy whereof is filed herewith, be and such extension of said water-
works is hereby approved and authorized together with proceedings in eminent
domain therefor provided to be taken, conducted, and completed under and pursuant
to said resolution of said Board, for the condemnation and taking by said Board
of the following described lands, to-wit:
All those certain tracts or parcels of land situate in
Section Eighteen (18) in Township Twenty-nine North
(T 29 N) of Range Twenty-two West (R 22W) in the County
of Ramsey and State of Minnesota which are more par-
ticularly described as follows, to wit:
All that much of the South two hundred forty-two and
eighty-seven one-hundredths (S 242 87/100) feet of the
North half (Ni) of the South two-thirds (S 2/3) of the
Southwest quarter (SW*) of said Section Eighteen (18)
according to the United States Government survey thereof,
which is comprised between the extended Easterly line
of Block 3 of St. Aubin and Dion's Rice Street Addition
to the City of St. Paul, according to the plat of said
Addition which is of record in Book 5 of Plats at Page 1
in the office of the Register of Deeds in and for said
County of Ramsey, and the extended center line of the
Sixty (60) foot wide street interposing between Block 3
and Block 4 of said Addition; also and together with
The North Eighty and no one-hundredths (N 80 00/100)
feet of that much of the South Two Hundred Forty-two and
Eighty-seven one-hundredths (S 242 87/100) feet of the
North half (Ni) of the South two-thirds (S 2/3) of the
Southwest Quarter (SW4) of said Section Eighteen (18)
according to the United States Government Survey thereof
which is comprised between the extended center line of
the Sixty (60) foot wide street interposing between

Block 3 and Block 4 of said Addition and the Easterly line
of that certain strip of land One Hundred (100) feet in
width described in deed dated the fifth day of December
1883 and of record in Book 115 of Deeds at Page 668 in the
office of the Register of Deeds aforesaid, containing 22.32
acres of land, more or less,
subject to an easement in that portion of said lands which is comprised by the
Easterly Half (Es) of that certain tract of land situate in said Section Eighteen
(18) according to the United States Government Survey thereof which is described
as follows, to wit:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of Block 4 of aforesaid
Addition, thence Northerly along the extended Easterly line
of said Block 4 a distance of ten (10) feet; thence in
clockwise direction on circumferinae.-.ref a fifty (50). foot
radius circle with Leiter in the extended center line of the
Sixty (60) foot wide street interposing between Block 4 and
Block 3 of said Addition and at a point Fifty (50) feet
northerly along said extended center line from point of intersection
of same with the northerly line of said Addition, to an intersection
of said circumference with the extended Westerly line of Block 3
of said Addition; thence Southerly ten (10) feet along said ex-
tended Westerly line of Block 3 to the Northwesterly corner of
said Block 3; thence in Westerly direction along the Northerly
line of said Addition, Sixty (60) feet more or less to the place:
of beginning;
which easement is provided by said resolution of said Board to be dedicated to the
public for public thoroughfare uses and purposes in perpetuity.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that said resolution of said Board shall be deemed to
have been incorporated herein by reference and made part hereof with the same intent,
purpose, and effect as if said resolution of said Board were set forth herein ver- ._
batim, and that the same and the action of said Board thereby represented hereby
are in all things approved, authorized, and confirmed.
