PAUL COUNCIL NCIL_NC/ 1 Mil 9 OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK ,,Heil ,u "49-44, Rt►e+ott r CO IL RESOLUTION—GENERAL M ' PRESENTED BY I / �� �v DAT E - / ., COMMISSIONE _L � WHEREAS, the Commissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from February 16, 1956 to February 29, 1956 in- clusive which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Public Utilities for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Checking bus schedules and loadings, and Supervising the activities of the City Market, and WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum- stances: Submission by the Street Railway Company of proposed schedule changes, and Saturday and holiday work made necessary because of increased activity at the City Market, therefore, be it RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the pro- visions of the Council's Salary ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
