OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK OUNCIL 4.;ESOLUTION-GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY A� //. / DATF COMMISSIONE WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from January 1 to 15, 1956, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per • week in doing the following work: 1. Supervision, care and maintenance of public parks and their facilities. 2. Handling equipment, making repairs and special arrangements for playgrounds events and programs. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: 1. Constant temperature required at Como Greenhouse and Zoo. House Mover needed services of a tree trimmer. Some additional watchman services demanded by increased activities. 2. Special wiring and plumbing repairs required for hockey and skating at playground ice rinks.
