WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Libraries, Auditorium and Museums has reported in
accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency
during the period from December 4th through December 31st, 1955 which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Department of Libraries,
Auditorium and Museums, Bureau of Auditorium, for more than eight hours per day
or forty hours per week in doing the following work:
Operate switchboard, ventilating system and electric work and supervise
during various attractions held in the building.
and WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circum-
stances:
No other trained help available for work during various activities,
this time includes Saturdays, Sundays and Holiday time.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper City Officers are hereby authroized to
pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of
the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No. 6446.
