RESOLVED, that a public hearing be held by and before
the Council of the City of Saint Paul, in the Council Chamber
of the Court House and City Hall, in said City, at 10 otclock
A. M. on 31st day of January 1956, upon the advisability and
necessity of the repair, replacement, remodeling, or wrecking
and removal of the two-story frame fourplex on the premises
described as Except Northeasterly 7i feet of Lot 5, and
Southeasterly One-half of Lots 5 and 6, Block 51, Dayton &
Irvine's Addition,to Saint Paul, according to the plat thereof
recorded in the office of the Register of Deeds of Ramsey
County, Minnesota, also described as No. 352 Sherman Street,
because said structurd is reported to be dangerous and unsafe
to life, limb and adjoining property.

Gentlemen:
An inspection was made of the fourplex at 352 Sherman
Streyt, which is described as Except N.E.ly 71/2 feet of
Lot 5; SEly V2 of Lots 5 and 6, Block 51, Dayton &
Irvine's Addition, St. Paul, Minnesota.
This is a two story frame building (fourplex) , 68 by
31 by 32 feet. Plaster is falling from the ceiling.
The second floor side porch and stairway landing are rot-
ted and ready to fall. This building is generally dilap-
idated, a fire hazard, and dangerous to life, limb, and
adjoining property. It should be wrecked and removed.
The last known record owner is J. L. Gunn, Sr. Letters
to his last known address of 222 Mackubin Street are
returned by the Post Office, indicating he has moved.
Danger Notices are posted and we recommend that a hear-
ing date be set in accordance with Section 107.2 of
the Building Code covering condemnations.
