RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, materials and
services necessary for and reasonably incidental to the wrecking of dwellings,
garages, sheds, outhouses and removal of cisterns, miscellaneous concrete and
brick work, fences, walks, septic tank and debris together with the filling of
outhouses, wells and cesspools located at 399 James Avenue, described as Lot 38,
Block 28, subdivision of Blocks 28 and 29, Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's Addition
and 485, 487, 487041/2 Randolph Avenue described as East 3/4 of Lot 76 and all of
Lots 77 and 78, Block 28, subdivision of Blocks 28 and 29, Stinson, Brown and Ramsey's
Addition, St. Paul, Minnesota, to ROSE BROTHERS LUMBER & SUPPLY CO., INC. in
accordance with City specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid
#5519 of said Rose Brothers Lumber & Supply Co., Inc., City to pay Contractor
$940.00, such bid being the lowest and said Rose Brothers Lumber & Supply Co., Inc.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby
is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
St. Paul.
