Who is going to pa�l 10-425 �� The Paint a Piano program is designed to inspire young people to believe in themselves through the arts. Thft�agh Paint a Piano program, Keys 4/4 Kids shares their knowledge about music and art by providing� opportunity for young people to learn while engaging in an exciting project that is both creative and unique! Paint a Piano curriculum by Keys 4/4 Kids contains: A presentation containing an overview of various examples of musical styles and compositions, such as classical, popular, jazz, traditional, and blues that focus on the piano as the primary insirument. An open discussion about styles of music are introduced by encouraging the children to participate in a musical guessing game, playing the piano, and a question and answer time. The students will learn about the history of the piano and how a piano is made. Object props are supplied to be passed around for sensory learning. This includes: piano keys, felt piano hammers, a small coil of wire, and tuning devices, as well as the opporhxnity to look inside of the piano to observe the process of how it creates sound. The piano is also the art project! Each student will have a section of the piano in which to paint their own creation. It is recommended that a theme be chosen for the piano before the painting begins. Choosing a theme provides an opportunity that the classroom students can parhicipate in, if the teacher would like to use it for a team building activity and creative fliinking process. How the Paint a Piano program works: Keys 4/4 Kids will coordinate with your organization to donate and deliver a used piano to your designated location. The piano will be prepared and ready for painting prior to delivery by having a light coat of paint applied by a Keys 4/4 Kids staff inember.
