The Commissioner of Public Works, having had under consideration the preliminary order of the
Council, known as Council File No.179O2 approved Sept. 6th• 19 55 , relative to
constructing a monolithic concrete sidewalk on both sides of B. Third
St. from Ruth . to Pedersen Av
and having investigated the matters and things referred to therein, hereby reports:

Dear Sir:
I have examined the attached petition of remonstrance, filed in the
matter of constructing monolithic concrete sidewalk on both sides of
E. Third Street from Ruth Street to Pederson Street, and report as
follows:
Resident owners of assessable property 45
Petition signed by 40 resident owners, or 88.8%
1190.59 lineal feet of abutting frontage
1110.59 " It tt tt " signed for, or 93%
Thus the petition is sufficient as to the number of signatures and
the proportion of lineal feet of abutting property. However, two
provisions of the City Charter have not been complied with, namely
that (under Section 213) a petition of remonstrance must contain the
legal descriptions of the property and the lineal feet frontage of
each, in addition to the signatures of the resident owners or their
agents;;and each page mast bear a notarial certification.
