HOLLAND, Commissioner ARTHUR F. COLEMAN, Deputy Commissioner September 17, 1956 Hon. Council City of St. Paul Gentlemen: A number of inspections have been made of the coal sheds located on the west side of Rice Street between the Great Northern Tracks and Lafond Avenue, described as Subject to widened Rice Street and except Ry. R/W; the East 160 feet of North 710 feet of NE W of Sec. 36, T 29, R 23. These are old, open coal storage sheds of frame construc- tion, approximately 366 feet long by 28 feet wide by sixteen feet high. They are partly wrecked, damaged by fire, beyond repair, and unsightly and possibly dangerous to life, limb, and adjoining property as they are open. It is our recommendation that they be wrecked and removed from the premises. The last known record owner is Marjorie Mae Petersen, c/o R. W. Farnsworth, Inc. , 2948 Nicollet Avenue, Minne- apolis 8, Minnesota. Danger Notices have been posted. We would appreciate it if you would institute condemnation action in accordance with Section 107.2 of the building code by setting a public hearing date. Yours truly, Alt rd H.
