HOLLAND, Commissioner ARTHUR F. COLEMAN, Deputy Commissioner September 18, 1956 Comsr. Bernard T. Holland Dept. Parks, Playgrounds & Public Bldgs. Dear Sir: Contract Number G-393 was awarded to the Karl Dedolph Construction Company, 2150 Goodrich Avenue, St. Paul 5, Minnesota, for Remodeling of Building at the Palace Play- ground; located at 348 View Street, St. Paul, Minnesota. During the course of the work under this contract, it has been found that there is a concrete slab below the finish concrete slab in the Women's Rest Room which was not antici- pated when the specifications were prepared. It is necessary that this second slab be removed in order that the plumbing pipes can be placed. Negotiations have been conducted with the Contractor who agrees to remove the slab and provide sand fill for the additional sum of $51.73 which is a reason- able amount for the labor and material involved. It is therefore requested that a Resolution be submitted to the Council which will authorize an extra to contract number G-393, said extra in the amount of $51.73 and to cover the work above listed. Very truly yours, / Alf H. Schroeder AHS :al C'- y Architect ccts Schnarr Storey Derenthal
