Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the Anderson-Pritchard Oil Corporation
for a permit to install and operate a new filling station adjacent
to the northwest corner of Rice and Sycamore. The legal description
of the property involved is quite lengthy and is enclosed on the
applicant's application.
The property has a frontage of 147'6" on Rice and extends westerly
a distance of 185' on Sycamore. The zoning for a distance of 100'
west of Rice is "light industry": the remaining 85' is "heavy
industry."
<. filling station on this site was formerly approved by the City
Council but the permit was never executed. The present plans are
in accordance with the existing standards. Field investigation
discloses no objection from the standpoint of traffic or land use.
In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends
that this permit be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans
approved August 23, 1956.
