WHEREAS, byt'ouncil File No. 178116, being Ordinance No. 10787, approved June 19, 1956, the City Council authorized the sale of $650 ,000.00 par value of the bonds of the City of Saint Paul for the purpose of paying the share of the City of Saint Paul of the joint City and County detention and workhouse facilities as provided under the terms of Chapter 353, Session Laws of Minnesota for 1955; now therefore be it RESOLVED, that the bonds authorized to be sold by Ordinance No 10787 be sold in the manner provided by law, in the amount of $650,000.00, said bonds to be in denomination of $1,000.00 each, to be dated October 1, 1956,bear interest at a rate not"exceeding 6% per annum, payable semi-annually on April 1st and October 1st, according to the coupons to be attached to said bonds. Said bonds shall be serial in form and a portion thereof shall be payable each year, commencing on October 1, 1959, but none of said bonds shall run for a longer term than thirty years.
