PAUL COUNCIL COUNCIL OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK 0:414.i RESOLUTE N— )1ERAL FORM L COMM SSDIONE d d L//,� F,/ a/ �� � _ DATF September 14, 195© WHEgEAs, A Final Order for reconstructing or repairing, where necessary, of the sidewalk on both sides of Rice Street from Sycamore Street to Ivy Avenue was passed by the City Council on September 22, 1953; and WHETS, The installation of ornamental lighting on the aforesaid portion of Rice Street was not completed until 1955, slaking it necessary that the sidewalk work be deferred until 1956 through no fault of the sidewalk contractor; and WHEREAS, Increases in costs and changes in the sidewalk specifica- tions since 1953 have made it impracticable to continue the 1953 contract to 1956; therefore, be it RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works be authorized to • order the aforesaid work done by the 1956 contractor for Sidewalk District No. 1 in which the Rice Street order is located.
