10-393Council File # 10• 3�l?j Green Sheet# RESOLUTION OF SAI�VT PAUL, MINNESOTA � Presented by 1 WHEREAS, the City of Saint Paul, Police Department, wishes to donate $2500.00 of federal equitable 2 sharing monies to the National Law Enforcement Museum; and 3 4 WHEREAS, the public purpose of this facility when completed is to serve not only as a memorial to law 5 enforcement officers, but also serve as an important law enforcement educational center through programs 6 and activities such as a clearinghouse and library for law enforcement research, exhibits on law 7 enforcement history, and also as a tool for recruitment for law enforcement; and 9 WHEREAS, the United States Department of Justice has concluded that the state and law enforcement 10 agencies may donate equitable sharing funds to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memoriai Fund, I 1 and so, 12 13 THEREFORB BE IT RBSOLVED, that the city council authozizes the donation of the above funds Yo the 14 National Law Enforcement Museum.
