Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of Shell Oil Company for a per-
mit to reconstruct an existing filling station located adjacent to the
northeast corner of Cleveland and Marshall. This property is described
as lots 8 and 9 - block 29 - Merriam's re-arrangement of blocks 24, 25,
26, 27, 28, 29 - Merriam Park Addition. The zoning is "commercial."
This filling station was built in 1956. There is a parking lot estab-
lished to the north of the existing filling station, the applicants pro-
posing to consolidate this entire area which has a frontage of 151'6" on
Cleveland and 100' on Marshall to be developed as a single site for a
filling station.
The applicant's plans filed June 27, 1956 meet existing standards and the
Traffic Engineer has approved this lay-out. There is no objection to this
plan based on field investigation.
In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board recommends the permit
be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans filed Ju 27, 1956.
