RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee therefor,
and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, materials and services necessory for
and reasonably incidental to the furnishing and erection of Chain Link Fence for a
Playground Area located on Kennard Street between Ivy Avenue and Cottage Avenue, Saint
Paul, Minnesota, to U.S. STEEL CORP., AMERICAN STEEL & WIRE DIV., CYCLONE FENCE DEPARTMENT
in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal
Bid #58l2 of said U. S. Steel Corp., American Steel & Wire Div., Cyclone Fence Dept. at a
total contract price of $2,168.00, such bid being the lowest bid and said U.S. Steel Corp.,
American Steel & Are Div., Cyclone Fence Dept. being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and
the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract
therefor, and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on
behalf of the City of Saint Paul.
