WHEREAS, on March 21, 1960, in Saint Luke's Hospital, Nicholas `Nick' and Mary Ann Mancini lovingly welcomed
Pasquale Nicholas Mancini into this world; and
WHEREAS, Pasquale began his educational career at Sai�t PauPs Homeaoft School, followed by Saint Therese and
Highland Catholic Schools, continuing to becoming a proud graduate of Cretin High School, where he then proceeded to the
College of Saint Thomas, receiving a degree in business; and
WHEREAS, Pasquale established his athletic prowess during high school playing racquetball, handball, rollerblading,
jogging, biking, cross country skiing, as well as participating on the swim team where he demonstrated such high marks that
his swim trunks aze still on display at the famous Nook in Saint Paul; and
WHEREAS, at a young age Pasquale began his musical career with guitar lessons, eventually using his singing and
spectacular guitar playing to join the Mancini Players and the famous - albeit elusive — Goomba's; a�d
WHEREAS, Pasquale started work as a young teenager under the tutelage of his father, and now along with his broYher 7ohn,
contin�es the family tradition oFoperating Saint PauPs finest Ma�ci�i's Char House and Lounge; and
WHEREAS, at Mancini's Char House Pasquale met the lady of his dreams and on November 3q 1985, Jane Dwaznik and
Pasquale were united in matrimony, and have been blessed with three fine children - Nicholas, Patricia and Katherine; and
WHEREAS, Pasquale contmues his family's exemplary heritage of reaching out to local community centers, volu�teering
with Serving Our Troops, honoring local athletes through the Mancini Hall of Fame, and is an active member of the Business
Review Council; and

WHEREAS, Pasquale's dream became a realiry by completing the challenging American Birkebeiner 54 Kilometer Classic
Course by the time he tumed 50 - weathering extreme conditions to cross the storied finish line; now, therefore be it
RESOLVED, in honor of his 50`" birthday and his many years of commitment, dedication, and service to the community and
City of Saint Paul, that Sunday, March 21, 2010 be declared

in the great City of Sai�t Paul, Mionesota.
