RESOLVED, That an extra in the amount of $383.50 be allowed
under contract number G-338 between the City of Saint Paul
and Pederson Brothers, said contract for the Installation of
Concrete Sidewalk, Curbing, and Sandbox for a Playground Area
located on Kennard Street between Ivy Avenue and Cottage
Avenue, St. Paul, Minnesota, and said extra for additional
excavation and filling, reconstruction of catch basin inlets,
and installation of a driveway, this work having been re-
quested by the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public
Buildings, and agreement made with the contractor, and a
: memorandum of said agreement having been filed with the
.Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract Number 6-338 for the Installation of Concrete
Sidewalk, Curbing, and Sandbox for a Playground Area located
on Kennard Street between Ivy Avenue and Cottage Avenue,
St. Paul, Minnesota, was awarded to Pederson Brothers.
During the course of the work under the contract, it has
been found necessary to do additional excavation and filling,
reconstruct catch basin inlets, and install a driveway in
addition to the work specified. Negotiations have been con-
ducted with the contractor who agrees to do this extra work
for the sum of $383.50 which is a reasonable amount for the
labor and material involved.
It is therefore requested that a Resolution be submitted
to the Council which will authorize this extra to cover the
above described work.
