The Commissioner of Pablic Safety has reported, in ao-
cordauce with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence Of
as emergency during the period from July 1, 1956 to July 31, 1956,
whisk rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of
the Department of Public Safety for more than eight hours per day,
or forty hours per week, in doing the following work:
Maintenance work in the Bureau of Building Maintenance
and the cars of women prisoners at the City Jail, and, MESAS,
this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and elm.
