of Western Avenue between Ashland Avenue extended and Holly
Avenue, on property described as: Except easterly 30 feet
thereof, Lot 21 and all of Lot 20, Block 74, Dayton and
Irvine's Addition, in accordance with applicant's plansjdated
December 5, 1956, subject to compliance with the provisions of
all ordinances governing the operation of parking lets, 1and!
subject further to the condition that sidewalks abuttin said
premises be kept clean and free of ice and snow at all times.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of the Commodore
•
Hotel for a permit to construct and operate a private park-
ing lot on the east side of western between Ashland extended
• and Holly. This property is directly across Western to the
east of the Commodore Hotel and is described as: except the
easterly 30' thereof, lot 21 and all of lot 20, block 74,
Dayton & Irvine's Add. The zoning is "C" residence.
The property is presently vacant and if developed for park-
ing will have a capacity of 32 cars.
Adjacent land uses are as follows: to the north is a four-
plex: to the south a residence: to the east and adjacent
to the rear of the yard of a residence which fronts on Virginia.
Field investigation discloses no objection if the applicant's
plans dated December 5, 1956 are strictly followed. Among other
things, these plans call for a single driveway in the center of
the site and provision for a landscaped screen-planting adjacent
to the northerly, southerly and easterly sides of the property
which abut adjacent residential development.
In consideration of these factors, the :zoning Board recommends
that this permit be granted.
