Resolution of Council Approving Assessor*nt
and Fixing Time of Hearing Thereon
In the matter of the assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for
constructing new mercury vapor ornamental lights on Payne Avenue from the north end
of the bridge over the C. St. P. M. & 0. Ry. tracks (85 feet south of the center line
of Ross Street, vacated) to Hawthorne Avenue, including the construction bf new or the

reconstruction of conduits, pull boxes, cables and other appurtenances, where necessary,
under Preliminary Order 171055 , approved December 3, 1951+
Intermediary Order 172318 , approved March 15, 1955
Final Order 172618 , approved April 12, 1955 ,
The assessment of benefits, costs and expenses for and in connection with
the above improvement having been submitted to the Council, and the Council having considered same
and found the said assessment satisfactory, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the said assessment be and the same is hereby in all respects approved.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That a public hearing be had on said assessment on the 23rd
day of January , 19 57 , at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of
the Court House and City Hall Building, in the City of St. Paul; that the Commissioner of Finance
give notice of said meetings, as required by the Charter, stating in said notice the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement, the total cost thereof, and the amount assessed against the
lot or lots of the particular owner to whom the notice is directed.
