Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of St. Luke's Hospital
for permit to re-arrange a parking lot located adjacent to the
southwest corner of Smith and Walnut. This property is described
as lots 1 and 2 and the north 120' of lot 3 and 4 - block 51 -
Dayton and Irvine's addition. The zoning is "commercial."
The property under consideration has a frontage of 232.5' on
Smith and 120.32' on Walnut. There has been a permit issued for
a parking lot on this property since July of 1952. The appli-
cants are developing the portion of this property adjacent to
Walnut by adding to the area presently available for car parking
and by the provision of an additional driveway from Walnut.
Field investigation discloses no objection to this propsal from
the standpoint of adjacent land use or traffic and the Zoning
Board recommends this permit be granted *n4tccOrdance with the
applicant's plans approved September 20, 1956 subject to the
detailed review of the office of the City Architect concerning
provisions for the drainage of storm water.
