Hurley Corporation Counsel Building Dear Sir: With the exception of Lot 8 in Block 3, which is in the process of acquisition, the City of St. Paul has acquired for playground purposes Lots 1 to 12 inclusive of Block 3 and Lots 1 to 11 inclu- sive in Block 2, G. V. Bacon's Subdivision. In order to consolidate these parcels, the Department of Parks and Playgrounds wishes to vacate that portion of Carroll Avenue lying between Oxford Street and a line drawn from the Southwest corner of Lot 11, Block 2, G. V. Bacon's Subdivision to the North- west corner of Lot 11 in Block 3 in said Addition. As noted above, the city is in the process of acquiring Lot 8 in Block 3 and the final hearing on the award of damages is scheduled for the 29th of August. In order that the vacation petition may be filed immediately thereafter, it is requested that you prepare the necessary petition prior to the final hearing.
