• RESOLVED, That the Council hereby a,p ov s the award of the Contract Committee
therefor and hereby awards contract for the Grading and Paving of Maryland Avenue
0 from Western Avenue to E. Como Boulevard to 0. W. SWANSON CONSTRUCTION COMPANY in
accordance with City plans and specifications therefor hereto attached and the
Formal Bid #5911 of said O.W.Swanson Construction Company for the contract price of
$164,183.55 (Plus Water Connections, Detour, Soundings, etc. $2250.00, plus Engin-
eering $9851.00, plus Inspection $3284.00 by City Forces) such bid being the lowest
and said 0.W.Swanson Construction Company being the lowest reasonable and reliable
bidder and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directjed to draw up the proper
form of contract therefor, and the proper City officials hjereby are authorized to
execute said contract on behalf of the City of St. Paul.
