WHEREAS, In the . -tter of Comptroller's Cont act L-5694,
for the construction of a Sewer in Hawthorne St. f om Park to
Sylvan Street, Robert W. Moore, contractor, the specified date
df completion is February 15, 1956 and
WHEREAS, the contractor has prosecuted the wo k diligeptly
but due to inclement weather, beyond the control o the cop-
tractor, it was not possible to complete the contr ct until
April 24, 1956, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City officials be a d they are
hereby authorized and directed to execute an amen• ent to said
contract extending the time of completion to April 24, 1956,
provided however, that this resolution shall have to force or
effect unless the sureties on the contractor's bon consent
thereto and file such consent in writing with the ity Comp-
troller, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City of St. Paul h reby washes
all claim for liquidated damages and that no engin ering arid
inspection costs on this project will be charged b• the City on
account of such extended period.
