Dear Commissioner$.•
This will serve as an official request for an
entension of sick leave for Ralph A.Morrison.
Ralph has been an employee of the Department
of Public Works since May 12,1921.He was employed as a
Floorman for many years and in the recent few years has
the title of Utilityman. He has the reputation of having
been not only a faithful but a very industrious worker.
The record shows also that he did not abuse his sick leave
priveledges.
He was taken with a heart attack and drew 29
days sick leave in 1953 and 185 days in 1954. He retunned
to work at the Dale St.garage.
Recently he contracted puemomia,wae hospilized
at Miller and has since been at home. At the time of his
last illness, according to the records in Civil Service
he had 61* days to his credit which now for all practi-
cal purposes has been used up.
We will appreciate it very much if you will
sponsor a resolution in the City Council extending his
sicj leave in line with the policy of the Council.
Thanking you in advance, thanking you too for
all past cooperation,I am,
Fraternally yours,
Wm .E.Brennan,Bus.Rep.
