Dear Sir:
Contract Number G-451 was awarded to the Saint Paul
Sheet Asphalt Company for the Installation of Bituminous
Surfacing located at the East and West Sides of Lake Como,
St. Paul, Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract,
it has been found necessary to lay crushed rock in two
additional areas of the parking area which were not included
in the original specifications, these additional areas re-,
quiring 40 ton of rock. Negotiations have been conducted
with the Contractor who agrees to furnish and install the
additional 40 ton of crushed rock for the sum of $3.00 per
ton or a total of $120.00 which is a reasonable amount for
the labor and material involved.
It is therefore requested that a resolution be submitted
to the Council authorizing this extra in the amount of $120.00
to contract number G-451 to cover the above described work.
