WHEREAS, In connection'with the improvement of Shepard Road from
Nkrket Street to Elm Street, it has been necessary, in advance of the
construction of the permanent paving, to change the line of the service
main and to construct a cast iron pipe outlet for the future flood
control pumping station the Water Department doing the work on the
aforesaid 6" service main and furnishing the aforesaid cast iron pipe,
to be reimbursed from funds available to the Department of Public Works;
also, it is necessary to reconstruct and resurface as approaches,
Chestnut Street from a point 106 feet north of the north line of
Shepard Road to a point approximately 370 feet north of the said north
line of Shepard Road, and also Eagle Street from,the north line of
Shepard Road to a point approximately 195, feet north of the said north
line of Shepard Road, together with street drainage, curbing, sidewalks,
driveways, and miscellaneous items of cost necessary for the completion
of the aforesaid work which is not included in existing contracts;
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the Commissioner of Public Works be and he is herein
authorized to proceed with such work, with City Forces, in accordance
with the standard paving and other specifications, at an estimated cost
of $12,560, said work to be charged to Bond Fund #200, Project #ST-4.,
and an itemized statement of cost to be prepared and kept on file in the
department during the progress of said work.
