RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, tools, equipment and
material to install approximately 68 lineal feet of 36 inch reinforced concrete casing
pipe (to be furnished by contractor) and 78 lineal feet of 12 inch cast iron pipe (to be
furnished by Water Department) under and across the rightsof•way of the Northern Pacific
Railway approximately 17 feet east of west property line of Victoria Street, St. Paul,
Minnesota, tobe known as Item I; also to install in the same manner as above approximately
110 lineal feet of 36 inch reinforced concrete casing pipe (to be furnished by contractor)
and 128 lineal feet of 12 inch cast iron pipe (to be furnished by the Water Department)
under and across the righti+of«way of the Northern Pacific Railway approximately 10 feet
east of the center line of the connecting road between Eustis Street and Kasota Avenue,
to be known as Item II, to IANETTI & SONS, INC. in accordance with City plans and
specifications therefor hereto attached and the Formal Bid #6019 of said Lametti & Sons,
Inc. for the contract price of $8958.00, such bid being the lowest and said
Lametti & Sons, Inc. being the lowest reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation
Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the
proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City
of St. Paul.
