Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the application of Francis V. Kennedy for a
permit to install and operate a used car lot at 972 Rice Street. Tbis
property is located adjacent to the east side of Rice between Front "Ond
Hatch and is described as the west 100' of both lots 12 & 13, Auditor's
Subdivision No. 17. The zoning is Commerical.
The property has a frontage of 80' on Rice and extends to a depth of
145.3' . The used car activity is going to be limited to the west 100'
of these two lots. The home on lot 12 has been removed. There is
still an office-residence on lot 13, which is also the home of the
applicant.
The lot has a capacity of approximately 20 cars according to the applicant.
Plans approved August 28, 1956 meet existing standards. There is no
objection to this proposal from the standpoint of adjacent land use or
traffic. In consideration of these factors the Zoning Board recommends
that this permit be granted in accordance with the applicant's plans
approved August 28, 1956.
