RESOLVED, That e Purchasing Agent, with the written consent thereto by the Mayor and
Comptroller, to be evidenced by their endorsements hereon, and with the consent of the
Council, given hereunder, is hereby authorized, pursuant to Sec. 291 of the Charter
of the City of Saint Paul, to forthwith purchase, without advertisement therefor or the
receipt of competitive bids in the premises ...nave 50-watt FM Base Stations complete with
receiver, microphone, local controls coax antenna, 100 ft. coax transmission line,
including antenna and installation accessories; 8 Pack sets, two-frequency operation;
three 750-watt, 115-volt, 60-cycle, gasoline electric plants, manual start including
installation and transportation for the uses and purposes of civil defense by the
Department of Public Safety, Bureau of Police, and in the latter's behalf, of the
aggregate purchase price of $6,245.00, payable as follows:
50Z thereof to be paid by the State of Minnesota and 50% thereof to be paid by the
City of St. Paul.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that this represents and involves a case of emergency where
failure ,to act promptly, as aforesaid, will work an injury to the City of Saint Paul,
and that the aforesaid portion of said aggregate purchase price to be paid by the
City of Saint Paul, in the sum of $3,122.50, and no more, shall be payable from the
fund of said City designated as Police Supplies Fund, Code 7 E 2 available therefor as
certified by the Comptroller. p�
