in accordance with plans of the applicant, approved October 4,
1956, subject to compliance with the provisions of all ordinances
governing the operation of parking lots, and to the further
condition that sidewalks abutting said premises be kept clean
and free of ice and snow at all times.

Dear Sir:

This is in the matter of the application of Montgomery
Ward and Company for a permit to install and operate a
customer parking lot for 259 cars at 1400 University
Avenue.
This is located on the south side of University Avenue
between Albert and Pascal and is described as the north
200' of lots 18 and 19, Auditor's Subdivision #27,
Kittsondale Addition. The Zoning is "Light industry"
and "Heavy Industry."
This property is presently being used as a lawn and as
a service entrance to the store. The applicant pro-
poses to establish a customer-parking lot in this area
for cars beingserviced at the filling station and at the
tire store. It will have a capacity of approximately 259
cars. Part of the year a space with a capacity of about
80 cars will be used for the promotion and sale of nursery
stock equipment.
Plans approved October 4, 1956 meet existing standards.
There is no objection to this proposal from the standpoint
of land use or traffic.
In consideration of these factors, the Zoning Board re-
commends this permit be granted in accordance with he
applicant's plans approved October 4, 1956.
