PRESENTED BY Water a employame COMMISSIONE Adopobed heeO )cDober 4 Approved October 18, 3'968. ti ■ (October 20, 1956) WHEREAS, the Caumissioner of Public Utilities has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from October 1st to October 15th 1930 inc., which rendered necessary the employment of certain employees of the Water Department for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: 1) Repairing Filtration Plant i uipment . 2 Working extra shifts, various puerping stations. 3) Finishing installation of, and repairing water mains and service connections. 4) Taking emergency calls at Storeyard. 5 Taking country crew to and from work. 6J Treating lakes with copper sulphate, 7 Changing meter at Midway ChevCo. AND WHEREAS, this emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: N 1 Necessary to do work during low consumption hours. 2 Necessary to watch booster stations on account of break in 36" water main on Dale St. 3) In order to keep continuous water service. 4 lights and Sundays. 5 On account of scattered work locations. 6 So as to be able to move to another location next day. 7) Necessary to change meter before business hours. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the proper city officers are hereby authorized to pay the employees who performed such work in accordance with the provisions of the Council's Salary Ordinance, Ordinance No 6446.
