Resolved, t to spec' a leetiion is ereby ordered to be
held in he manner •rovided y law, in the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 6th, 1956 (which is the same day
the State and County General Election will be held) for the purpose
of submitting to the electors of said City the ratification or re-
jection of the following '.'cater Bond Ordinance, Ordinance No. 10849,
entitled
"An ordinance authorizing and providing for the issuance
of Six Million Dollars ($6,000,000.00) par value of the bonds
of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota, upon the approval thereof
by the electors of the City of Saint Paul, for the purposes
of extending, enlarging, improving and bettering the water-
works system owned and operated by the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota . This is an emergency ordinance rendered necessary
for the preservation of the public peace, health, and safety. "
Resolved Further, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
ordered and instructed to cause to be published the full text of
Ordinance No. 10849 in the Saint Paul Dispatch, the Saint Paul
Pioneer Press and the Saint Paul Legal Ledger; that said ordinance
shall be published once in each of said newspapers not less than
ten days nor more than fifteen days before November 6th, 1956,
and it shall be preceded by a statement that said ordinance will
be submitted to the electors of the City of Saint Paul, Minnesota ,
for ratification or rejection at the Special Election to be held
Tuesday, November 6th, 1956 (which is the same day the State and
County General Election will be held) ; and that the cost of such
publication shall be paid from the Election Expense Account of
the General Fund.
Resolved, Further, that the City Clerk is hereby ordered
to give notice of said election in the manner provided by law and
that the registration records on file in the Registration and
Election Bureau of the City Clerk's office shall be used, as
• provided by law, and he is hereby authorized and directed to

election supplies , the cost thereof, together with the expense of

Resolved, Further, that the polls at said Special Election
shall remain open during the hours provided by law, and the polling
places and the judges and clerks of said election shall be the
same as those acting at said State and County General Election.

Resolved, that a special election is hereby ordered to be
held in the manner provided by law, in the City of Saint Paul,
Minnesota, on Tuesday, November 6th, 1956 (which is the same day
the State and County General Election will be held) for the purpose
