RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Contract Committee
therefor, and hereby awards contract for furnishing all labor, materials and
services necessary for and reasonably incidental to the furnishing and installing of
new steam traps in the Zoo Building heating and ventilating system, a new 6•inch
steam valve on the Zoo Main at the header in the Boiler Room, a new control system
for the Zoo Building heating and ventilating system, a new gas fired hot water
heater and a new gas fired incinerator at Como Park, St. Paul, Minnesota, to
HAMMER HEATING COMPANY in accordance with City plans and specifications therefor
hereto attached and the Formal Bid #5996 of said Hankee Heating Company for the
contract price of $6921.00, such bid being the lowest and said Hankee Heating Co.
being a reasonable and reliable bidder, and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby
is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor, and the proper City
officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the City of
St. Paul.
