INTERMEDIARY ORDER
In the Matter of opening, widening and extending an alley 20 ft. in width in
Tracts "C" to "QQ" inclusive in Registered Land Survey No. 104, and in Lots 19 and 20,
Block 4, Robert L. Ware's Eastern Heights Acre Lots, from Winthrop St. to East Ave.,
by taking and condemning Tract "W" of Registered Land. Survey No. 104, and a 20 ft.
strip of land across Lots 19 and 20, Robert L. Ware's Eastern Heights Acre Lots; the
center line of said strip of land is described as a line beginning on the center line
of Tract "W" and the east line of Registered Land Survey No. 104, thence to a point on
the west line of East Ave. 132.06 ft. north of the north line of East Fifth Street,
under Preliminary Order 179686 approved September 19, 1956
The Council of the City of St. Paul having received the report of the Commissioner of Finance
upon the above improvement, and having considered said report, hereby resolves:
1. That the said report and the same is hereby approved and adopted, and the said improvement
is hereby ordered to be proceeded with.
2. That the nature of the improvement which the Council recommends is open, widen and extend
an alley 20 ft. in width in Tracts "C" to "QQ" inclusive in Registered Land Survey No.
104, and in Lots 19 and 20, Block 4, Robert L. Ware's Eastern Heights Acre Lots, from
Winthrop St. to East Ave., by taking and condemning Tract "W" of Registered Land Survey
No. 104, and a 20 ft. strip of land across Lots 19'and 20, Robert L. Ware's Eastern
Heights Acre Lots; the center line of said strip of land is described as a line begin-
ning on the center line of Tract "W" and the east line of Registered Land Survey No.
104, thence to a point on the west line of East Ave. 132.06 ft. north of the north line
of East Fifth Street,
with no alternatives, and that the estimated cost thereof is $ 1,225.00
Resolved Further, That a public hearing be had on said improvement on the 13th day of
November , 19_16_, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Council Chamber of the Court
House and City Hall Building in the City of St. Paul. That the Commissioner of Finance give notice of
said meeting to the persons and in the manner provided by the Charter, stating the time and place of
hearing, the nature of the improvement and the total cost thereof as estimated.
