RESOLVED, that St. Paul's Methodist Church be permitted
to install and operate a private parking lot on the north
side of George Street between Waseca and Chariton Street,
on Lot 7, except the westerly 15 feet thereof, all of Lot 8,
the south 25 feet of Lot 2, except the westerly 15 feet thereof,
the south 25 feet of Lot 1, Dorhardt' s Rearrangement of Bloch 3,
Nelson, Stevens and King's Addition to West Saint Paul, in
accordance with applicant's plans approved September 20, 1956,
and subject to compliance with the provisions of all ordinances
geerning the operation of parking lots and to ther futher
condition that sidewalks abutting said premises be kept clean
and free of ice and snow at all times.

attached application of St. Paul's Methodist Church for permit to
install and operate a private parking lot on the north side of George
St. between Waseca & Chariton Sts., on Lot 7, exc. westerly 15 ft.
thereof, all of Lot 8, the south 25 ft. of Lot 2, exc. westerly 15 ft.thereof,
the south 25 ft. of Lot 1, Dorhard't Rearrangement of Block 3, Nelson, Stevens and
King addition, in accordance with applicant's plans approved September 20, 1956.

Dear Sir:
This is in the matter of the Ep plication of St. Paul's Methodist Church for permit
to install and operate a private parking lot for its congregation. The
property under consideration is located adjacent to the north side of
George between Waseca and Charlton and is described as lot 7 - except
the westerly 15' thereof - all of lot 8, the south 25' of lot 2 - except
the westerly 15' thereof, the south 25' of lot 1, all in Dorbardt's Re-
arrangement of block 3, Nelson, Stevens and King Addition. The zoning
is °A" residence,
The property is presently vacant and has a frontage of 85' on George
street and extends northerly a distance of 167' .
The applicant's plans approved September 20, 1956 meet existing stan-
dards. • The lot will have a capacity of approximately 28 cars.
The area to the west and south is developed with one and two-family homes:
the parsonage and church is located to the east: there is a bluff to the
north. Field investigation discloses no objection to this proposal from
the standpoint of traffic or adjacent land use. .
Therefore, the Zoning Board recommends that this permit be granted in
accordance with the applicant's plans approved September 20, 1956.
