and said extra to cover the application of membrane water-
proofing in the elevator pit, this work having been requested
by the Commissioner of Public Safety, and agreement made with
the Contractor, and a memorandum of said agreement having
been filed with the Comptroller and countersigned by him.

Dear Sir:
Contract Number L-5738-A was awarded to the Sheehy
Construction Company for General Construction of the Public
Health Center Building, St. Paul, Minnesota.
During the course of the work under this contract, it
has been found necessary to have applied two ply membrane
waterproofing on the outside walls of the elevator pit
below the basement floor slab, this not included in the
original specifications. At the request of Commissioner
Peterson, negotiations have been conducted with the contractor
who agrees to do this for the additional sum of $50.00 which
is a reasonable amount for the labor and material involved.
It is therefore requested that a resolution be submitted
to the Council which will authorize this extra in the amount
of $50.00 to cover the above.
