Zone 2 1q1 ° 14' CApital 44612 October 2, 1956 To the Honorable Mayor and Council of the City of St. Paul Gentlemen and Madam: In connection with the referral to this office of the acquisition of the forfeited lands in the Pig's Eye Lake area, we have prepared the attached resolution which includes in Exhibit A the descriptions of the va- rious parcels to be acquired and a map showing the loca- tions of the parcels involved. To facilitate identifica- tion the descriptions have been numbered both in Exhibit A and on the map. The eventual use of this area for wharves, levees, and river development purposes is, to a large extent, depen- dent upon its control by the city insofar as is possible. The acquisition of the tax-forfeited lands which total ap- proximately 925 acres will be a forward step in this direc- tion. Respectfully submitted, • "" . 1iiiima gineer it
