RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing
Committee therefor, and hereby awards contracts for Sale of Scrap Metals
by the Bureau of Lighting as follows: -
To: ST. PAUL SCRAP IRON & METAL COMPANY
Approx. 63 tons Steel Trolley Poles @ $43.12 net ton
Approx. 5 tons Steel Scrap @ 53.12 net ton
Approx. 57 tons Cast Iron Scrap @ 38.62 net ton
Bidder to pay City approximately $5,183.50
To: N. S. BERKOVITZ SCRAP COMPANY
Approx. 2-1/2 tons Bronze Scrap @ $626.20 net ton
Bidder to pay City approximatdly - - - - - - $1,565.50
such-bids being the highest and said companies being reasonable and
reliable bidders and the Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed
to draw up the proper form of contracts therefor and the proper City
Officials hereby are authorized to execute said contracts on behalf of
the City of St.Paul.
