OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK C UNCIL SOLUTION—GENERAL FORM PRESENTED BY COMMISSIONS 4 DATE WHEREAS, The Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings has reported, in accordance with Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during the period from November 16 to 30, 1956, which rendered necessary the employment of certain employee, of the Department of Parks, Playgrounds and Public Buildings for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in doing the following work: Supervision, care maintenance and protection of public parks and playgrounds and of their facilities. And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and circumstances: Seasonal requirements for protection of public property and pursuit of departmental activities, such as: Heating the Zoo and Greenhouse at Como, snowplowing and sanding slippery parkways and boulevards, preparing and mintaining playground skating and hockey rinks.
