The Civil Service Commissioner has reported in accordance with
Section 53 of the City Charter, the existence of an emergency during
the period from September 22, 1956 to October 20, 1956, which rendered
necessary the employment of certain employees of the Civil Service
Bureau for more than eight hours per day or forty hours per week in
doing the following work:
Necessary to administer examinations on Saturday.
And WHEREAS, This emergency arose by reason of the following facts and
circumstances:
Could not be handled by untrained personnel.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, THAT the proper city officers are hereby authorised
to pay the employees shown on the attached list, who performed such work
in accordance with the provisions of the Council's salary ordinance,
No. 6446.
