WHEREAS, Alfred H. Schroeder, City Architect, has requested the
City Council to hold a public hearing to consider any complaints about the
expense incurred by the City of Saint Paul in removing a dangerous structure
at 415 Rondo Avenue, more particularly described as Lot 22, Block 15,
Mackubin & Marshall's Addition; and
WHEREAS, it appears that the last known record owner of the
property is Martin V. King, c/o Marylyn King, 563 West Central Avenue,
Saint Paul Saint Paul 3, Minnesota; therefore, be it
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saint Paul hold a
public hearing in the Council Chamber at 10 o'clock a. m. on the 11th day
of December, 1956, to consider any complaints about the expense incurred by
the City of Saint Paul and to confirm the amount thereof; be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Architect notify by mail the
record owner of the property in question at the last known address.

Gentlemen:
A statement of expense has been filed with the City
Clerk on this date for the purpose of creating a lien
on the property known as 415 Rondo Street, St. Paul 3,
described as Lot 22, Block 15, Mackubin & Marshall's
Addition.
The property is in the name of Martin V. King, whose
last known address was 415 Rondo Street, St. Paul 3.
He has a daughter, Marylyn King, 563 West Central Avenue,
who called at this office after contract was let for
wrecking.
In this matter, the following resolutions were adopted by
the city council:
CF 177445, adopted April12, 1956 (published April 14,
1956) set a public hearing at 10 A M on May 8, 1956.
C. F. 177801, adopted May 10, 1956 and published May 12,
1956, ordered the wrecking by and at the separate cost
and expense of the owner, occupant, or other person in
charge thereof.
CF 178113, adopted June 1 and published June 9, 1956, dir-
ected the Commissioner of Parks, Playgrounds And Public
Buildings to enter the premises and wreck and remove the
duplex dwelling thereon, and do any and all things therein
necessary for the protection of life, limb, and adjoining
property.

C.F. 178850, adopted by the Council July 19 and published
July 21, 1956, approved the specifications prepared by
this office and authorized the purchasing agent to adver-
tise for bids for wrecking. ,�� ,

C.F. 179220, adopted August 15, 1956 and published August
18, 1956, approves the award of the contract for wrecking
to All State Improving Co. , for the sum of $370.00 in ac-
cordance with specifications and Formal Bid No. 5878.
C.F. 179222, adopted by the Council August 15, 1956 and
pubished August 18, 1956, provided that the wrecking expens-
es of $370.00 and expenses of the Department of Parks,
Playgrounds And Public Buildings in connection with the
condemnation in the amount of $41.35, making a total of
$411.35, be paid out of Wrecking Condemned Building Ac-
count of General Fund 31 G 23, and that, in the event
said sum proves collectible from the owner, said sum is to
be credited to the General Fund Item 31 G 23.
The condemned building has been wrecked and removed and
Registered Bill No. 4 1495 dated October 17, 1956 was
sent to Martin V. King, c/o Marylyn King, 563 West Central
Avenue. It has not been paid.
We are requesting that you hold a public hearing, with ten
days' notice, to con sider any complaints about the
expenses incurred and to confirm the amount.
The Council resolution confirming the expenses should end
with a directive to the City Council to file a statement of
expense for the purpose of securing a lien on the property.
