In reviewing this matter, the Planning Board finds that there is at present a street in West St. Paul named "Skyline Road" which is within the St. Paul postal zone system. Therefore, a proposal which would use the word "Skyline" as it applies to another road in the St. Paul postal zone districts would not be in accordance with St. Paul's exist- ing policy to minimize the duplication of street names. In consideration of these facts, the Planning Board recommends that the name, "Skyway Drive" be applied to the street under consideration. This proposal has been discussed with the petitioners and has received favorable response. Si erett, L4_,.. L4-- CDL:FS C. L oe s Enc. Planning Director 4 /pt ,i :rte i , P E T I T I O N December 6, 1956 TO THE HONORABLE MAYOR and CITY COUNCIL ;. CITY OF SAINT PAUL, RAMSEY COUNTY WE, the undersigned property owners, abutting Dilworth Avenue, petition the City- Council to change the name of Dilworth Avenue, to Skyline Drive. The petitioners are of the opinion that the change from Dilworth to Skyline Drive will improve their mail service, due to the fact that there is a village in Minnesota Paving the same name and their mail occasionally is sent by error. The petitioners further ,cite the fact that it is aggravating to spell the name of Dilworth whenever the petitioners are required to give their address.
