RESOLVED, That the Council hereby approves the award of the Purchasing Committee therefor,
and hereby awards contract for furnishing and delivering f.o.b. Water Dept. Storeyard,
Hamline & Carroll Aves., St. Paul, Minnesota on Milw. Ry., 38,000 linear feet of various
size Class 150 Mechanical Joint Cast Iron Water Pipe (board reserves the right to increase
total order by 20%) to UNITED STATES PIPE & FOUNDRY COMPANY, in accordance with City
specifications therefor :hereto attached and the Formal Bid #6127 of said United States
Pipe & Foundry Company for the contract price of $216,700.00, such bid .being the lowest and
said United States Pipe & Foundry Company being a reasonable and reliable bidder and the
Corporation Counsel be and hereby is directed to draw up the proper form of contract therefor,
and the proper City officials hereby are authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the
