WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of November, 1955, a fire occurred at the Saint Paul Workhouse, causing extensive smoke damage, and WHEREAS, the ins_urance company carrying the fire and extended coverage. at the Workhouse has proposed a settle- mentithrough the Underwriters _Adjusting- Company of Paint Paul, i Minnesota in the amount of $951.00 to be paid by the various insurance- companies hereinbefore referred to on the pro rata basis, and WEAS, John P.' Mullaney, Superintendent of the Workhouse, recommends that. the City accept such settle- ment, said amount of $951.00 being a substantially full settlement for the aforementioned loss; now, therefore be it RESOLVED, that the proper City officers are authorized to execute Proof of Loss Statements received from the j Underwriters, Adjusting Company, representing the' insurance companies carrying the coverage on the Workhouse, and to accept in full, final'' and complete settlement of the City's claim, the sum of • .00.
