WHEREAS, the date of Thursday, July 25th, has been,
selected as the date for the City and County Employees Annual
Picnic,• to be held in Highland Park, and
WHEREAS, the members of the City Council desire to
encourage attendance of the employees, feeling that thi event
does much to promote a wholesome and beneficial relatio ship
among City and County Employees, therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the proper City Officials be and th y are
hereby authorized and directed to release those employe s who
wish to attend and participate in the picnic on the 25t . day
of July, 1957; provided however, that said officials sh 11
arrange for necessary skeleton crews to remiin at work o con-
duct the business of the City and County, and be it
FURTHER RESOLVED, That the City Council urge their
representatives on the City Hall and Courthouse Commission to
adopt a similar Resolution applicable to the employees Under
